Strategist

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As part of the Bensimon Byrne strategy team, you’ll support the development and execution of strategic work grounded in a strong understanding of the client’s business, category, and the audiences they’re trying to reach, with a focus on achieving business objectives.

You’ll work closely with senior strategy and account leads to help turn research, data, and cultural signals into clear insights and strong strategic thinking. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who’s curious, sharp, organized, and excited to learn how strategy shapes breakthrough brands and drives growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather and analyze inputs such as client data, audience research, and cultural context
  • Support strategy development through competitive analysis and insight mining and help develop strategic outputs including brand messaging and positioning inputs
  • Contribute to workshops and working sessions by preparing materials, capturing notes, and helping synthesize key takeaways
  • Support stakeholder and audience interviews through research, discussion guide inputs, and summary write-ups
  • Partner with internal teams and external research partners to help pull together insights and learnings

What You’ll Bring

  • A curious, analytical mindset with a point of view on people, culture, and consumer behaviour, bringing relevant observations and examples that help brands resonate
  • The ability to distill complexity into clear takeaways by organizing information into simple, actionable insights
  • Confidence working with quantitative data and contributing meaningfully to analysis
  • Strong storytelling skills that shape strategic ideas into clear, compelling narratives that are simple and effective
  • Organization skills and attention to detail, especially in decks and written work
  • A collaborative working style and openness to feedback and learning
  • 1-3 years of experience in strategy, research, planning, brand, or marketing (agency or client-side)
