Business Lead

Description

Hello. We’re Bensimon Byrne, Canada’s largest independent agency, and we are looking for a Business Lead to join our account service team. If you are an experienced account person who loves to collaborate and work with clients to make a difference to their business, we would love to talk.

The Business Lead will develop relationships with senior clients, apply a holistic understanding of their business and their needs, and translate them into agency actions. They will lead the brand strategy, be a champion for creative, identify and evaluate solutions quickly, and continuously see opportunities for organic growth within their business.

Reporting into the Group Account Director, the Business Lead is a leading-edge account leader and natural collaborator who brings agency resources together to actively solve problems by developing top tier communications strategies, and integrated multi-channel solutions. You are responsible for day-to-day account management including the financial health of the business and overseeing the project management team on the account, and other agency resources ensuring that the business is run as efficiently as possible.

Desired skills and experience

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships to foster trust at all levels

  • Health and stability of overarching client relationship

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s business including product innovation, marketing challenges, sales/revenue targets, category/industry competition

  • Drive annual, seasonal and long-range planning process on a fully integrated account

  • A thorough understanding of production processes

  • Lead a team of agency partners through collaborative planning and execution of campaigns

  • Oversee and lead brief development, identifying opportunities beyond the ‘ask’

  • Ability to get to the root of the ask and identify business needs to engage the right resources to provide the best recommendations and solutions

  • Responsible for forecasting, risk assessment and financial health on account

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 7 years of related experience (agency preferred)

  • Proven strategic skill, experience working on integrated projects including digital and social

  • Strong history of managing client relationships and business growth

  • Nice to have – CPG Experience
