At Bensimon Byrne, our Quebec based Account Director is the driving force behind client relationships in the market. As the main day-to-day lead, they balance strategic insight with hands-on partnership, grounded in a strong pulse on Quebec’s culture and trends. Working across markets with strategy and creative partners, they champion Quebec’s unique perspective while ensuring seamless integration. The successful candidate will bring both business acumen and creative curiosity, elevating outputs, deepening trust, and unlocking opportunities for growth.

Things you do…

  • Own the overall health of the client relationship — acting as the primary partner, building trusted relationships, serving as a go-to advisor, and driving both day-to-day leadership and growth
  • Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration)
  • Be the expert in brand/business knowledge within the agency regularly sharing relevant insight internally and externally supported by a strong brand strategy team
  • Provide superior management of day-to-day workflow with operational rigor. This includes establishing and maintaining priorities and holistic ownership of client budgets, scopes, invoicing, agency forecasting and resourcing
  • Champion a deep understanding of Quebec culture, language, and trends, ensuring all work reflects local relevance and resonance
  • Partner with creative, strategy, and cross-functional teams (media, content, production) to deliver integrated, breakthrough work that drives results
  • Guide and support clients through strategic decision-making with a deep understanding of process and effective communication (verbal, written and presentation). Consistently decode clients’ needs and turn them into business opportunities
  • Ensure clarity, accountability, and on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Contribute positively to agency culture by fostering collaboration, curiosity, and accountability across all teams and markets

What you have…

  • A proven ability to build strong, trusted client relationships and partner confidently with senior leaders.
  • Strategic curiosity to anticipate category shifts, reduce ambiguity and become a knowledge centre
  • Excellent communication skills — you listen intently, present persuasively, and ‘read the room’
  • Solid financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing client budgets, scopes, and invoicing
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail, while keeping sight of the larger strategy
  • Grace under pressure — resilient, adaptable, and confident in navigating ambiguity
  • A love of powerful creative ideas and executional excellence, with the passion to inspire others
  • A collaborative, accountable spirit that contributes positively to agency culture and teamwork
  • 8+ years of experience in an agency or marketing environment
  • Bilingual (English/French) with a strong understanding of Quebec culture and market dynamics
