Challenge

For years, Turtles has asked Canadians to “share the love”. This year, we didn’t ask.

Idea

Through a PR-driven campaign called #UnboxLove, we sold limited edition tins where the love came “pre-shared” AKA each box was actually missing a single Turtle. But by giving them a little less, we could share a whole lot more. That missing Turtle meant we could gift $100 prepaid Visa cards to Canadian families living below the poverty line, making their holiday season a little bit brighter.

Impact

Even though Canadians were given less, they shared even more than we thought possible, completely selling out of tins in under a month. The campaign also had a halo onto the overall brand, creating the best holiday season Turtles had had in years, with a 6% growth in sales.
